A LIFE QUOTE “You have a higher purpose than living for yourself. Your work is His. You live for the one who died and rose for you. You share the good news about Him. That’s how God grows His family, adding branches to His tree. You get to be part of this family—a family with a rich past and a glorious future.” Rev. Peter Sulzle, St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Redwood Falls, Minnesota – A Life Quote from Lutherans For Life • lutheransforlife.org “Hurting from abortion? Word of Hope can help. word-of-hope.org; 888.217.8679.”
BUILDING HEALTHY FAMILIES : It is a challenging time to be a parent, perhaps especially a father. Our culture takes every opportunity to malign fathers, and popular media often goes out of its way to portray them as undependable, immature, and ineffective. Yet an endless stream of research (not to mention God’s Word and our own life experience) clearly identifies the vital role of fathers in the lives of their children. Fathers, don’t give up! Take heart and persevere – you are not alone! “Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9) Happy Father’s Day- You are appreciated and so greatly loved! Isaiah 6:3 – “And one called to another and said: ‘Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!’ ” Three times the angels cry out: “Holy, holy, holy!” It is an indication of the three-ness in God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This is the Name into which we are baptized. We have been made a part of God’s family and are now called to live lives that are in harmony with this new family. We are to be godly and live in God’s image. As God is loving, kind and generous, so also are we called to be.
